Hello everyone and Welcome to my blog. Happy Sunday to y'all. You know, a person's mindset somehow determines the person's approach to certain situations be it life situations, relationships, finance etc. In my last post I highlighted some of the things I would want to say yes to as well as what I would say no to. Emphasis on "Yes to positive proclamation", you know it is what you've thought or conceived in your heart that's what you are likely going to confess out.
Even the bible made mention of this in St Luke 6:45 GoodNews Translation: "A good person brings good out of the treasure of good things in his heart; a bad person brings bad out of his treasure of bad things. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of."
Everyone cannot have the same view about a situation.
I happened to meet an artist/fashion designer some days back, and we talked for a while and then he showed me a rectangle box drawn on the wall and inside the box was written "Jesus Portrait". Then he asked me, when I saw that drawing, what was the first thing that came in mind? I was confused for a while and then decided to just let out what had entered my mind. It kinda sounded stupid to me so I answered without any hesitation. I said; "It's a space reserved for Jesus Portrait". Hahaha. As funny as it sounded, he laughed and said I was close to the answer though. But now here is his reply;
He said " Everyone might have a common knowledge of Jesus as the son of God Almighty but still, everyone pictures him differently. To some Jesus is a white guy, while to some he is a black guy and to another, he might be a different being entirely."
I made reference to this to further explain that your mindset towards challenges, success or failure is very essential. One might decide to avoid the situation or face the situation and make the best of it.
What actually inspired me to write about this was when I came across this bible passage, Matthew 25:14-25, which talks about a story of a master and his three servants. Most of you are familiar with the story, where a master who was traveling, called out three of his servants and gave them money according to their abilities. The first servant was given 5 talents of gold, the other 3 and the last one was given 1. The first two servant's mindset was to create more wealth with money they were given of which they did and the last servant who was given 1 talent was scared and totally avoided the situation by burying his own money. This now explains the different approaches the different servants handled the situation.
However, If you take a look at the history of some of the successful and wealthy individuals in the world today, you'll see that they are constantly thinking creatively about how to make their money work harder for them, what investments to make, and other things. Unlike some other common guys whose only idea is how much money they want to spend, they buy expensive items without giving it any consideration, if you understand what I mean.
Your mentality determines everything. If we can adopt a positive and strategic perspective, then, we can get the most out of the any situation.
Well until next time, Do have a wonderful day and a blissful Sunday.
