Greetings and thanks for visiting my blog. Happy Holidays to you all. I'm compelled to participate in this LOH contest 114, and I'm grateful to @thekittygirl for the chance. I've been posting more about my experiences in 2022 since this week, and when I came across this contest on Ladies of the Hive, it brought me memories of the day I nearly lost my father to illness. For me, it was the most devastating period, and it occurred this year.
In June, I saw that my father was complaining of excruciating discomfort in his thighs and back, nearly to the point of paralysis. I come from a typical family, and our finances are not very strong. Everyone assumed it was due of the demanding work he undertakes to support himself and the family. As the days went by, it became worse, and we had to take him to the hospital for a checkup. When the physicians were unable to locate anything in his spin, it seemed unusual and was quite frightening. Even though I was away at the time, I constantly called him to stay in touch. He was admitted to the first hospital, but the agony just became worse since he wasn't reacting to the medication.
Then, he was sent to another hospital, where his younger brother, who needed appendix surgery, was hospitalized. We all live together as a large family, so when I learned that my dad and my uncle were being hospitalized at the same time, I sobbed. I was on the verge of giving up and losing hope at that time. He was subsequently released from the hospital since he was unable to remain there any longer. We investigated for other treatments for him after a few months had gone with no noticeable results. He underwent testing at a different facility, when it was discovered that his spine had shifted. We attempted the herbal native cure, but it didn't work. You could picture how agonizing it may be.
He has been given a prescription for a medicine that costs more than 10,000 naira, and he is already seeing some improvements. We all fervently hope and pray for things to improve.
I appreciate you reading, however.
